SARATOGA RAILROAD ENGINEERING PC is a railroad engineering company that specializes in railway signals and operations planning, training, and assisting railroads with grade crossing and wayside signal issues.
Our primary engineer is Scott L. Wertans who is a licensed professional engineer in TX, OH, VT, NY, PA, OH, MA, CA, PA, and FL. With years experience working for Class 1 Railroad Conrail, NJ Transit and various consulting companies doing signal construction, maintenance, training, planning, capital budgeting, design, project management, maintenance budgeting, and emergency services.
We are maintaining railroad crossing warning signals for some railroads, and continue to do PE crossing inspections as requested by all of the railroads. We do assist railroads in finding funding for all sorts of projects and help them manage and inspect the work that is funded. We work with state agencies to assist them with railroad projects.
We are members of the American Railway Engineering Association (AREMA),Committee 36 Grade Crossings, Committee 39 PTC, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
